FACILITATING, SUPPORTING, ADVOCATING
Celebration of Life
Life is a celebration, and when a loved one passes, we have the opportunity to honour their life in a very special way. When it comes to funerals, there are no do-overs. Let’s get the conversation going, and talk about the details and make the celebration of life for your loved one a tribute recognizing a life of significance and meaning.
Grief Recovery
Grief is a normal and natural reaction to loss. While “companion” counselling certainly has its place in assisting the griever, grieving, in and of itself, does not require diagnosis or medical treatment. The Grief Recovery Method® as created by the Grief Recovery Institute® close to forty years ago, is an educational approach based on the facts and experiences of the grieving individual. It is a hands-on program that starts with an inventory of one’s losses, which leads to awareness, acceptance, and completion of relationships.

Life celebrations as unique as the life lived
A Life Celebrant serves by providing a funeral service, memorial service or tribute that is personalized and individualized to reflect the personality and life-style of the deceased, after consultation with the family and loved ones and coordination with the funeral home.
Grief Recovery
Grief is individual and unique
“Grief is the normal and natural reaction to loss, yet almost everything we learn about grief is not normal, is not natural, and not healthy.”
“Grief is the conflicting feelings caused by the end of or change in a familiar pattern of behaviour.”
“Grief is the feeling of reaching out for someone who has always been there, only to find when you need them again, they are no longer there.”
